Trilogy Hydrating Mist Toner [Review by Nerd About Town]

One type of product I love using time and time again around the summertime are facial mists and sprays. I find them so hydrating and refreshing and great for when you’re on the go. One spray that I’ve been using over the last month or so is the Trilogy Hydrating Mist Toner. Now, I’m already a big fan of Trilogy (their rosehip oil is just…ugh it’s actually disgusting how amazing that product is) so I bought this with high expectations and I’m happy to say that I haven’t been disappointed as of yet.

The toner consists of alcohol-free distilled water, infused with extracts of rose, rose geranium and lavender and has a very delicate, floral scent that isn’t too heavy on the senses. I’m gonna ‘fess up to being a bad beauty blogger and admitting that before this, I had stayed away from using toner. Toners have always been one of those things that I personally deemed unnecessary because:

a) the ones I had used previously always ‘burned’ my skin

2) I didn’t like the build up of multiple products on my skin and

iii) I just couldn’t be arsed.

Luckily, the Trilogy toner is alcohol free so I have not experienced any sort of burnage or tightness on my skin. It feels more like I’m spraying on micellar water than anything, and it dries without leaving any sort of residue. I use the toner after a sessions at the gym, on top of, and/or before my makeup (which gives it a nice, dewy glow might I add) and I have it on hand whenever my face feels a little sweaty or stodgy(?!) during the day.

I love a good multi-use product, so It’s safe to say that I’m a fan! If you’ve got combination skin like myself, or have dry/dehydrated skin, I would recommend this. As stated above, it’s also great underneath makeup as it makes the skin lovely, supple and ready for makeup application, leaving a dewy.
